The EN 352 standard regulates general hearing protection requirements in the field of work protective clothing. The choice of a hearing protector suited to the above-mentioned standard is measured against the specific work conditions and type of noise generated during work. The standard also regulates the following types of hearing protection: Earplugs, earmuffs, hearing protectors fitted on helmet, sound insulation suits.
The EN 352-2 standard refers to "ear inserts", namely all hearing protectors that are inserted directly in the ear canal or in the hollow of the auricle, commonly known as Earplugs.
